New Talent Acquisition System
Recruiting at HKU has become faster and easier with the rollout of a new Talent Acquisition System (TAS) and a new career website as part of the SMARTER@HKU University-wide transformation (http://jobs.hku.hk/).
“We are happy about the new system and new website, as they bring a more modern approach to finding the right candidates. The overall experience will be much better for applicants as well as hiring departments,” says Ms Aster Ho, HR Task Force Leader and Senior Assistant Registrar (HR).
TAS provides a centralised platform for all job postings within the University with easy to use application and tracking functions. With easy navigation, candidates are able to submit job applications online, view their records and retrieve the job adverts, book the time for written tests and interviews, share job openings with friends or on social media, and subscribe to email alerts for future job postings anywhere, anytime.
Our departmental recruiters also enjoy the benefits of collecting applications on a single platform, screening applications, scheduling written tests and interviews online, and sending notifications to candidates with useful templates. The new platform also helps speed up the interview process by enabling panel members to review applications and submit comments online. It makes onboarding easier with a user-friendly dashboard and checklists.
“TAS helps us shift the focus of recruitment from an administrative one to a more strategic one. Talent is hard to find. The more efficiently we run our recruitment process, the more competitive the University becomes. This is an important step in reforming our professional services,” says Ms Ho.
